In Summer 2020, at the height of the pandemic, and in the middle of a wild fire in Los Angeles, I managed to still produce a comedy horror film for Disney and 20th Digital, sponsored by M&M’s as part of Hulu’s “Bite Size Horror” series. Every precaution was taken to ensure a safe shoot – testing, temperature checks, masks, social distancing, designated work zones, air filters, fans, additional holding rooms, etc. It was made with a lot of care, and a lot of love, and I’m very proud of it and the amazing team that made it happen! In addition to Hulu, the film also aired on FXX and Freeform throughout the month of October.
The Los Angeles Times wrote up a beautiful article about the “Bite Size Horror” series – and specifically Michelle Steffes, the writer/director of “Summoned”.
